The Drop Zone Beach open at 9 am on Saturday and Sunday. The Flight Line Club beach area will open at 10 am on Saturday and Sunday.

The program kicks off around 11:45am and the show runs until about 3:00pm (give or take 30 minutes, depending on time between flights).

What time is the practice on Friday?

Practice schedules are subject to change and are therefore not published. You will likely see planes flying all throughout the week prior to the show. We are unable to post our practice schedules as they are subject to change. We recommend staying tuned to our Facebook page for arrival and flight updates on all your favorite acts.

Will the schedule be the same both days?

All the major acts, which you can see on our Performer Page, will perform both days. The specific line-ups of each day’s show are posted about 1-2 weeks prior to the show.

Can I come and go from the ticketed beach areas during the day?

Absolutely! Drop Zone Beach guests will receive a wristband that will allow you to go out and re-enter throughout the day. Flight Line VIP Club guests will receive a wristband and a lanyard for reentry to the FLC beach area.

Where is show center?

The aerobatic box, or aerial football field for the event is two miles wide.  Show Center is at Birch State Park.  The entire box extends from NE 19th Court to Las Olas Blvd.  This is the best area to view the event on the beach.

Will there be a radio broadcast of the show's narration?

No. The narration of the event will only be available via speakers in the Drop Zone and VIP areas.

For guests not onsite, we do have a livestream of the show happening on on the http://Air.Show website.

Do you recommend ear protection for children?

Ear protection is not required, but is recommended, especially for children under 5 who may be startled by the noise of the aerial performance teams.

How do I request media credentials?

Please contact our Director of Public Relations, Chris Dirato at pr@air.show no later than 2 weeks prior to the show. Due to the volume of request, please note that only credentialed media are eligible for media credentials to the event.

Can't I just watch the show from the sidewalk or road?

For safety and security reasons, security personnel must keep pedestrian traffic flowing along the closed off road area on A1A. Spectators are prohibited from setting up chairs on the street, but are encourage to purchase a ticket to the Drop Zone premium beach area, or to find a public location somewhere north or south on the coast.

Where is the Lost & Found located?

Lost and Found will be located in a tent near show center. Please email info@air.show regarding lost items following the show.

Can I view the show from a boat?

Absolutely – please see our Viewing from a Boat page.

Are there static plane displays that I can see?

We do have a large vendor area, but there are not planes on site to view due to the nature of this event as a beach flyover show.

Are masks required?

All guests are required to wear masks in public areas, except while seated viewing the show separated from other groups by at least 6 feet. Please see our Safe and Separate guidelines for specific details. Please note that children under 2 are excluded from having to wear a mask.

We recommend that all attendees with Drop Zone tickets bring their own seating. Personal seating is discouraged from being brought into the Flight Line Club VIP or Sand Boxes, as seating is provided in each of these venues. Personal seating is discouraged from being brought into the Flight Line Club VIP or VIP Penthouse, as seating is provided in each of these venues. Seating is also provided in the Friends & Family of the Air Show and corporate chalet areas.

Is there access to the water in the Drop Zone and Flight Line Club beach areas?

Yes! We have a special gate at the edge of the waterfront in both areas for guests to come and go from the water.

Is there shaded seating?

Shade is limited as the show viewing area is open and on the beach. You will be allowed to bring a hand-held personal or beach umbrella. Beach umbrellas are limited and first-come, first-serve in the VIP Flight Line Club beach area.

Accessibility Questions

I have an elderly relative - will there be handicap access to the show?

Our air show is ADA compliant, but we do make guests aware that the Drop Zone and Flight Line Club VIP area are both out on the beach directly on the sand. For guests with disabilities, we recommend giving yourself just a little bit of extra time to get down to the seating areas or to consider a non-beach option such as the Penthouse ticket.

Will there be beach wheelchairs?

The air show is unable to provide beach wheelchairs. There are often independent vendors on site with these special wheelchairs available for rent on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Is there handicap parking?

General admission parking for Drop Zone tickets is at the Galleria Mall on Sunrise Boulevard, about half-a-mile from the show site on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Handicap guests can be dropped by their ride along the boardwalk area. VIP Flight Line Club and Penthouse ticketed guests will receive parking passes and instructions, including handicap parking options.

Parking Questions

Please note that our air show entertains thousands of guests each year, which in turn means a significant amount of traffic throughout Fort Lauderdale Beach and the surrounding beachside communities during the weekend of the show. Please be sure to give yourself 45-60 additional minutes of arrival time prior to the show for parking.

The aerial portion of the show ends around 3pm. Significant exiting traffic means that it may take 1-2 hours to depart from the area at the conclusion of each day’s show. We ask that guests please be patient and abide by all instructions provided by the Florida State Troopers and parking attendants on site to guide guests.

Can I buy parking?

Drop Zone and Sand Box ticketed guests are invited to use the public parking area at the Galleria Mall on Sunrise Boulevard. Flight Line Club VIP  ticketed guests receive parking included with the price of their tickets, which will be emailed to you prior to the show.

Do I need to print my parking pass?

We do recommend printing your parking pass; however, you may also show the pass on your phone to the parking attendants.

Are there shuttles from parking?

There are no shuttles for this year’s show. Please see the above section on handicap accessibility for details regarding handicap parking, which will be available in all lots.
